TUMKUR: A man killed his wife and his four-year-old son over a domestic dispute at Mavinahalli village in Gubbi taluk on Tuesday.
The victims are Kavya (25) and her son Jeevan. The husband Swami (36) fled from the house after committing the murders. However, he was caught by villagers who thrashed him, tied him up and handed him over to the Cheluru police who have arrested him.
Police said that Kavya had left home four years ago due to a domestic dispute. She returned about 4-5 days ago after a conciliatory meeting. However, on Tuesday night, a heated argument ensued again over a minor issue which escalated.
In a fit of anger, Swami smashed Kavya’s head with a crowbar and also killed his child and fled from the house. The C S Pura police visited the spot and have taken up further investigation.
