BENGALURU: A drunk man killed his friend by smashing his head with a brick for questioning him while he was fighting with another friend. Other friends also were allegedly assaulted him. The murder took place in Subramanyapura police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Darshan. A fight had broken out between Preetham and Darshan over some issue while partying at a bar. When Darshan questioned this, the accused Chandrasekhar alias Preetham, along with Yashwant, Prashant and Lankesh, killed Darshan.
Darshan’s aunty had given him Rs 3,000 to give to his mother. But Darshan took his friends Nitin and Ramesh to party with that money. Besides, accused Preetham, Yashwant, Prashant and Lankesh also joined in. All the accused and Darshan team are also friends. While partying at the bar, a fight broke out between Nitin and Preetham. After that, Darshan and his friends went to Ramesh’s house.
Then, Preetham and the others also went to Ramesh’s house. At this time, a fight started between Nitin and Preetham when Preetham assaulted Nitin. Darshan intervened to stop the fight and questioned them. Enraged by this, Preetham hit Darshan with a hollow block brick that was lying around. Some of his friends were also allegedly assaulted him. Due to this, Darshan died on the spot. The incident took place around 2.30 am on Saturday.
The Subramanyanagar police have arrested all the accused.
