BENGALURU: A businessman hailing from Tamil Nadu jumped to his death from the 19th floor of the Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel on Monday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Sharan (28).
Sharan had checked into the hotel on Sunday and had recorded his purpose of visit as ‘business’ in the guest register and had told the staff that he would be staying for two days. He had stayed at the same hotel on a few earlier occasions too.
On Monday afternoon, he was spotted sitting on the edge of his room balcony for about half an hour before he jumped to his death. The High Grounds police visited the spot and have registered a case. Further investigation is under way.
