BENGALURU: A man was arrested along with two others for the supari killing of his father over a property dispute in Kaverappa Layout on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Narayanswamy and the accused has been identified as Manikanta (37).

Earlier, Manikanta had killed his first wife and gone to jail. After coming out of jail, he married again. Even after the marriage, he was having an extramarital affair. After coming to know about it, the second wife had moved out and they were about to get divorced.

Manikanta (left) gave supari to his friend Adarsh and Nadavatti Shiva to kill his father over a property dispute.

The second wife has a daughter and Narayanswamy had asked Manikanta not to go in for divorce. When the couple did not agree, Narayanswamy had said that he would give some of his property to his daughter-in-law and granddaughter to manage their lives after divorce. But Manikanta did not like his father’s decision and gave money to his friends to kill his father.

The Marathahalli police have registered a case.

According to plan, on February 13, Manikanta’s friends killed his father right in front of him. Later, Manikanta cremated him. A case has been registered at the Marathahalli police station and the police have arrested three accused. Further investigation is under way.
