RAICHUR: A man died after he was electrocuted while installing lights at a temple in Sangapura village of Manvi taluk on Thursday evening. The deceased was identified as Kanakaraj (28).
As part of the celebrations on the last Friday of the Shravan month, special puja had been organised at the temple of the village presiding deity Goddess Thayammavva. As part of the celebration, Kanakaraj was installing lights when he was electrocuted to death.
The body was shifted to the Manvi taluk hospital for post-mortem examination. The Manvi police have registered a case.
