Man electrocuted to death in Anekal

BENGALURU: A man died after coming in contact with a live wire while he was riding his bicycle to work on Market Street near Kaveramma Temple in Dommasandra of Anekal taluk on Friday.

The cyclist died after he came in contact with power lines.

The man was riding his bicycle from Thigala Chowdadenahalli to Dommasandra when an 11 KV electric wire fell on the road. He came in contact with it accidentally and died on the spot. According to locals, the deceased man was a resident of Kommasandra.

Sarjapur police visited the spot

After watching the the man being electrocuted, people in the market area were aghast. Angry locals staged a protest against Bangalore Electricity Supply Limited (Bescom) for its negligence. Residents of the area had earlier complained about poor maintenance of power lines.

The Sarjapur police rushed to the spot.
