BELAGAVI: A man died after a huge tree fell on his motorcycle as he was riding at Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna Circle. Rakesh Sundala was trapped between the huge trunk and the bike and died on the spot. Another motorcyclist escaped with injuries.
The two motorcyclists were heading towards Channamma Circle when the huge tree fell on them, trapping them under it. The injured person was shifted to a local hospital.
A case has been registered in Belagavi North Traffic Police Station. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ravindra Gadadi, along with Forest Department staff, visited the spot.
