CHIKKAMAGALURU: A person died on spot after a tree fell on a moving bike at Chikkahalla village of Mudigere taluk of the district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Venugopal (45). If Venugopal had come one minute earlier, he would have been reach the house. The three trees fell one after another due to heavy rain and wind, so he could not able to come out. Unfortunately he lost his life in just one minute.
Venugopal, a native of North Karnataka, currently he is living in Mudigere after marriage. He had a bangle shop in Mudigere and was ruuning a home stay near Chikkahalla. If he goes bit far from the home stay, he would have reach the house.
A case has been registered in this regard in Mudigere police station.
A tree fell on the Innova car, which parked in front of Rashid’s house near Banakal due to heavy downpour in Mudigere and Kalasa taluk and the car was completely damaged. Electricity poles have collapsed in many places, and there was no electricity in rural areas.
The Government had not come up with a suitable solution for the calamities caused by the rains of the last 2-3 years. The Malnad people are worried about thinking this year disaster.
