Man dies after drowning in Harangi dam backwaters

MADIKERI: A man who was missing after he went swimming in the backwaters of the Harangi dam near Herur village in Suntikoppa taluk on Sunday was found dead on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Shashi (30), a resident of Mysuru. He was part of a group of 15 tourists from Mysuru who were heading to Kodagu.

The body was shifted to the Kushalnagar government hospital for autopy. The Suntikoppa police visited the spot and have registered a case.
