KALABURGI: A man who was having his food was crushed under a sugarcane-laden tractor, which ploughed into a Patra shed and overturned on him after the driver lost control on Saturday night.
The incident occurred at Bhusanur village of Aland taluk. The deceased was identified as Lakshman Chinchanur.
Lakshman Chinchanur and his wife were having dinner in the shed on Saturday night, which is next to the road. At this time, a fully loaded tractor headed to Bhusanur sugar factory from Nimbala suddenly ploughed into the shed as the driver lost control, and overturned on him. Lakshman’s wife, who had gone to fetch water for her husband, got injured in the incident and was treated in the hospital.
The shed was completely damaged in the incident. A case registered at Nimbarga police station.
