The unidentified man wanted Basavanna's picture replaced with Jesus Christ's.

YADGIR: An unidentified man, who is believed to be a follower of Christianity, recently created a ruckus at the Surpur bus stand demanding that a portrait of 12 century reformer Basavanna be replaced with one of Jesus Christ. He also used abusive language against Basavanna.

The man also misbehaved with the transport corporation staff and claimed that injustice has been done to Christianity. “Why do you have Basavanna’s photo? All buses should have a picture of Jesus. Christ came first and Basavanna came later”, he insisted.

Some commuters recorded the entire incident on their mobile phone and videos are now going viral on social media. Citizens have urge the police to identify the individual and take strict action against him.
