CHIKKABALLAPUR: A man, who got married just eight months ago, brutally stabbed his wife to death at Srinagar in Doddaballapur of Bengaluru Rural district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Jenila Jobia, and the accused has been identified as her husband Sam, who is a resident of Doddaballapur. While Janila Jobia originally hailed from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, they had got married eight months ago in the presence of family members.

On Tuesday midnight, Sam and Jobia got into huge argument when he stabbed her with a knife. Hearing her screams from the room, Sam’s parents and other neighbours broke open the door and found Sam stabbing Jobia with a knife. Sam’s parents, who came to the rescue their daughter-in-law, were also attacked. Later, everyone, including Sam, rushed Jobia to a private hospital, but she did not respond to treatment and died.

It is said that Sam was having an affair with someone else and was chatting with that woman. But, it is also suspected that the wife was cheating on Sam and was in touch with someone else. The couple argued over this and Sam stabbed his wife.

Sam has been taken into custody by the Doddaballapur Town police and are interrogating him, but he is not responding to their questions. A case has been registered at Doddaballapur Town police station and further investigation is under way.
