UDUPI: A 25-year-old man was hacked to death inside his house at Puttur by three unidentified men on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Vinay Devadiga, but the motive for the murder was not immediately known.
The three men arrived at Vinay’s house and were let inside by the family assuming that they were his friends. The three men then took him to a room and hacked him to death with a sword.
When Vinay’s wife tried to intervene, she too suffered injuries. The Udupi police visited the spot and registered a case. They are now on the lookout for the attackers.
