BENGALURU: In a security breach during the Republic Day function at the Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Ground here on Friday, a man attempted to approach Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the presence of Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot.

The man was holding up some paper as he walked toward the CM’s gallery.

The man was seen throwing placards and sheets of paper on the ground while walking towards the Chief Minister’s gallery. The individual, identified as Purushottam, was reportedly unhappy with the state government and tossed placards on the ground.

The intruder was led away by the police.

The police immediately caught hold of him and took him for questioning to the Cubbon Park police station. While being led away by the police, Purushottam claimed he had a visitor pass. “The CM has not cleared my KPSC appointment. I have come from Mysuru”, he said.
