CHIKKAMAGALUR: A man who had got caught between two branches of a tall tamarind tree while axing the tree was rescued by the Fire and Emergency Services personnel at Dodda Pattanagere in Kadur taluk on Wednesday.
Syed had been tasked with cutting down the tree, belonging to a temple. However, he got caught between two branches on top of the tree when one of the branches broke. Syed lay writhing in pain for more than an hour before rescuers arrived and brought him down.
Syed sustained injuries in the leg and back and was shifted to a hospital in Kadur. The incident occurred in Kadur police limits.
