BIDAR: In a shocking incident, a man, identified as Abu Fakir, allegedly entered the house of a speech-impaired woman and attempted to molest her at a village in Halkhed police station limts in Humanabad taluk of Bidar district.
The woman’s clothes were torn and he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her.
The incident came to light when the woman’s mother returned home from her daily labour work. Upon seeing her daughter in a distressed state, the mother inquired about what had happened. The speech-impaired daughter explained the incident through gestures.
The mother filed a complaint with the Halkhed police station, and a case was registered against Abu Pasha a.k.a Abu Fakir under Sections 329(4), 79 IPC, and sections 3(1)(w)(i) and 3(2) of the SC/ST Act. The police have taken the accused into custody and are conducting further investigation.
