BENGALURU: A man murdered his wife by strangulating her neck with her own veil at Bilekalli near Mico Layout in the city over a domestic dispute on Thursday. He has since been arrested and sent to jail.
The victim Gunjan Madeshiya (38) and accused Ranjit Kumar Gupta are basically from Bihar and have two children.They were living in a rented house in Bilekalli. The couple used to quarrel often over not receiving phone calls or not responding properly. On Thursday morning, after the children went to school, a quarrel broke out again between the couple.
When the argument went out of hand, Ranjit Kumar beat his wife and murdered her. He left the house after murdering Gunjan, but returned home and to project his wife’s death as suicide, he poured hot oil on the wife’s body and tried to remove all the skin to disfigure the body so that police do not get doubts.
However, the house owner informed the police about the frequent quarrels. When police interrogated Ranjit Gupta, he revealed about the murder. At present, the accused has been arrested by Mico Layout police and sent to the Parappana Agrahara jail.
