‘Male hudugi’ Pooja Gandhi weds bizman Vijay as per Mantra Mangalya customs

BENGALURU: Kannada ‘Mungaru Male’ actor Pooja Gandhi, popularly known as ‘Male hudugi’, tied the knot with long-time boyfriend and businessman Vijay as per ‘Mantra Mangalya’ tradition at a private resort in Yalahanka on Wednesday.

Businessman Vijay is said to be the owner of a logistics company in Bengaluru. Vijay and Pooja Gandhi were friends for the past 10 years. It is said that she learnt Kannada from Vijay. When she came to Bengaluru to enter the film industry, Vijay himself taught her to speak Kannada. Then, she learned Kannada herself and acted and dubbed in Kannada movies. This friendship and bonding blossomed into love.

Pooja Gandhi was looking stunning in a white net and embroidered saree while Vijay, like many grooms, was spotted wearing a white embroidered sherwani. The couple entered into wedlock after 10 years of relationship. Pooja-Vijay’s wedding was attended by their family members, close friends and Sandalwood celebrities.

Director Yograj Bhat, actors Sudharani, Shubha Poonja, Sumana Kittur and others, poet Jayant and writer Jayant Kaykini, and many others wished the newly married couple. Fans are also happy that ‘Male Hudugi’ has entered into wedlock and poured wishes on social media.

Pooja Gandhi has acted in Kannada, Tamil, Bengali and Hindi films like ‘Katron Ki Khiladi’, ‘Dushmani’, ‘Tamoke Salaam’, and ‘Kokki’ in 2006. She acted in many Kannada movies. ‘Mungaru Male’ gave her a big breakthrough in her acting career. Then, she acted in the films ‘Milan’, ‘Krishna’ and ‘Manmatha’.
