MANDYA: Malavalli MLA Narendra Swamy’s father P S Mallaiah (93) died due to age-related illnesses at a hospital in Mysuru past midnight on Tuesday.
A resident of Puragali village in Malavalli taluk, Mallaiah had been a member of the taluk board, Puragali gram panchayat, and the milk producers’ union. He was also president of the primary agricultural council.
Mallaiah is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. His last rites were conducted at his native Puragali village on Tuesday afternoon.
