Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi faces 32 cases, police on lookout to serve externment notice

Mahesh Shetty has been externed for one year.

MANGALURU: Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi, against whom an externment order has been issued by Assistant Commissioner Stella Verghese, is facing 32 criminal cases including under the Arms Act and for using unparliamentary language against political leaders, police officers, and prominent figures in society.

The Belthangady police are looking for him in Bengaluru and Chikkamagaluru to serve the externment as he is suspected to have fled there. Another notice will also be issued to him if he does not respond to the notice already issued regarding the Arms Act case. His anticipatory bail application will be heard in court soon.

The video was reportedly recorded in August 2023.

This comes amidst a controversy over recent video conversations between Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi and Chinnaiah, where Chinnaya makes explosive allegations. The conversation between Thimarodi and Chinnaiah has gone viral, where Chinnaiah makes shocking allegations, including claims of acid attacks and burying bodies.

Meanwhile, the externment order has sparked protests from Thimarodi’s supporters and the Rashtriya Hindu Jagrana Vedike, who plan to hold a protest against the move in the coming days.
