DHARWAD: After initially failing to identify his daughter’s killer, Neha Hiremath’s father and Congress corporator Niranjan Hiremath has requested that parents protect their children. “Love Jihad is increasing of late”, he admitted.
Speaking to the media, he said that cruelty is increasing all around. “Why is this kind of mentality is increasing? This should not be repeated with any other poor parents. I also feel that love jihad is going too far”, he stressed.
“I had only one daughter and I had ensured that she doesn’t have to shed a tear in the last 25 years. Today, the situation in my house has become like this. I am telling parents who are sending their girl children to school to pay attention to who is behind her. What will their daughter do?”
He said that this should not happen to someone else’s daughter, as it happened to his daughter. “I request the government take appropriate action to prevent this from happening. Girls should get education. They are ahead in all fields. How would they get the courage to attend college if something like this happened? he questioned.
