BENGALURU: The Lokayukta police on Monday conducted simultaneous raids on 17 officials across the state against whom complaints had been lodged. Over 250 Lokayukta police officials searched about 90 locations linked to the officials during the raids.
The Lokayukta officials raided three locations linked to Labour Department Deputy Director (boilers) Srinivas, including his houses at Upkar Residency in Ullal, Bengaluru, and in Kollegal. They found a large amout of cash and gold jewellery in the Bengaluru residence apart from documents related to sites in Ullal, Byadarahalli, Sunkadakatte, Mysuru, 7-acre farmhouse in Sattegala, Kollegal, branded watches and sunglasses, apart from cars.
Three premises linked the BBMP assistant revenue officer Chandrappa K V, who is in charge of Hegganahalli ward in RR Nagar were also raided. An RTO official’s house and office were also raided in KR Pura.
The other officials raided include Thippanna Gowda, Executive Engineer, Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Ltd, Devadurga; Basavaraj, RFO, Bidar; Mahantesh and Paramesh, RFOs, Haveri; M P Nagendra Naik, ACF, Chitradurga; Balaraj N P, Chief Engineer, Karnataka Slum Development Board, Bengaluru; K Manjunath, Revenue Inspector, Ballari; Sharanabasappa Pattad, project director, Raichur; M Nagendrappa, Assistant Engineer, Panchayat Raj department, Tumakuru; V Krishnamurthy, Assistant Director Grade-1, Social Welfare Department, Chitradruga; Appasaheb Siddalinga Kamble, Joint Director, urban development, Kalaburagi; H Rajesh, Assistant Commissioner, Commercial Taxes Department, Udupi; Narayan H E, Junior Engineer, KPTCL, Hassan; Mahadev, Assistant Executive Engineer, Panchayat Raj, Belagavi and Shashikumar T S , Executive Engineer, Town Planning, Bengaluru.
