BIDAR: The Lokayukta police on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at 25 locations in the district in connection with irregularities to the tune of crores in the Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University here by creating fake bills.
Those raided included university staff, businessmen and traders. The Lokayukta police raided the shops and residences of those suspected to be involved in irregularities in purchase of material and execution of various works.
The Lokayukta police subjected the suspects to intense questioning and checked documents. The raids were conducted by Lokayukta Deputy SP Hanumantha Reddy and team under the guidane of Lokayukta SP Siddaraju.
