KOPPAL: A leopard killed two sheep at a sheep pen at Basavana Durga Camp in Gangavathi taluk on Sunday night and chose to doze off in the pen itself near the kill.
Some shepherds had erected a pen atop a hill and the leopard killed the sheep on Sunday night. The shepherds also shot videos of the leopard resting in the pen after eating the sheep. The sheep belong to one Ramesh Kurubara.
However, by the time the Forest Department staff arrived at the spot, the leopard fled towards the hill. The officials inspected the spot and are on the lookout for the leopard.
