KOLAR: With Assembly elections less than a year away, politicians seem to have already gotten busy trying to keep their constituents happy.

On Wednesday, supporters of Malur Congress MLA K Y Nanje Gowda organised a huge feast of chicken biryani apart from a health camp, blood donation camp and other events in the town to mark his birthday.

A stage was erected near the Indira Canteen in the town and arrangements were made to feed about 15,000 people. Not only this, anganwadi and ASHA workers were also given gifts along with vermillion (kumkum).

Needless to say politicians know how to play to the gallery and milch votes when the time comes.
