KOPPAL: With the Assembly election fast approaching, increasing cases of money being transported illegally are being reported. The Kushtagi police seized unaccounted cash of Rs 2.5 lakh at Kyadiguppa checkpost on Saturday.
The police confiscated the money while it was being transported without proper documents in a Mahindra Scorpio car, which was coming from Ilkal towards Kushtagi.
In a separate case, the Deputy Commissioner seized Rs 3.15 lakh, which was carried without proper documents by two people named Goutham Jain and Jithendra Jain in a scooter.
