BENGALURU: In further relief for Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president D K Shivakumar, the Karnataka High Court has put off the Central Bureau of Investigatino (CBI) investigation into a disproportionate case by another two weeks.
Earlier, A single-judge bench of the high court had asked the CBI to submit a report on the progress of investigation on February 24 and had put off further hearing to March 3. The lawyer for the CBI had earlier submitted a report on the progress of investigation, as directed, and argued for lifting of the stay order.
Shivakumar had filed a petition seeking quashing of the FIR and stated that he is being issued notices to hamper his electioneering and to mentally harass him. The family members are also being harassed with notices, the plea contended.
