DAVANAGERE: Buses belonging to the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) have been brazenly violating traffic rules by coming on the wrong side of the carriageway on PB Road to enter the bus stand.

The buses come up the wrong way ignoring oncoming traffic and the presence of schoolgoing children and the elderly on the road.

Social activist Srikanth stopped some of the buses early on Friday morning and even forced some of the drivers to turn back and enter the bus stand through the proper route.

After the brazen violation of traffic rules was brought to the notice of the KSRTC authorities, a notice was issued to one of the drivers, Manjunath, who was driving a bus plying between Harihar and Davanagere (KA 17 F 1774). Citizens have called for strict action against the erring drivers for endangering the lives of other road users.
