BENGALURU: Files of the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) related to recruitment have reportedly gone missing. Officials of the KPSC have since lodged a complaint with the police.

In 2016, the KPSC conducted recruitment tests for the post of junior engineer at the Karnataka Slum Board. An additional selection list was published in 2018 following which an individual approached the High Court questioning it. Later, the selection list was prepared as per the order of the High Court.

The selection list was prepared in the KPSC Confidential Branch-3. The file was received in the secretary’s private section on January 22 this year. After that, the file has gone missing, according to the complaint.

Later, a search was conducted for the file in all sections of KPSC. It had issued a reminder to its staff to return the file to Branch-2 immediately if found, but the file was not found even after almost a month.

Finally, at a meeting of the KPSC recently, it was decided to file a complaint regarding the missing files. Following this, the assistant secretary has lodged a complaint at the Vidhana Soudha police station.
