TUMAKURU: Koratagere former MLA Gangahanumaiah’s wife Kamala Gangahanumaiah (70) passed away on Wednesday. She had been admitted to a private hospital due to pneumonia.
Kamala Gangahanumaiah was a former president of the zilla panchayat. Kamala was also the first woman editor from Tumakuru district. She had served as the editor of Amrutavani newspaper.
Deputy CM G Parameshwara paid his last respects to Kamala Gangahanumaiah’s mortal remains and expressed condolences. The last viewing was held at her residence in Kotitopu, Tumakuru city. Parameshwara also recalled Kamala’s service as zilla panchayat president.
