Keep an eye on your pet, dognappers are on the prowl in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Adding to the list of crimes that the city has been witnessing, dognapping cases have been on the rise in recent days.

In one such case, a pet thief stole one-and-half-year-old Golden Retriever at B R Layout in Marathalli a week ago. The pet owner Muruli Madhav is planning to file a complaint with the police.

The act of the pet thief was recorded on CCTV camera. Muruli Madhav initially thought that the man carrying away his dog was pet lover himself, but after watching the complete video, he realised that he was thief.

In the video, the thief lured the dog with biscuits, then tried to get it on to his two-wheeler, but the dog did not sit. Then he went by walking, carrying the dog which weighs 38 kg.

Murali Madhav requested to return his Golden Retriever.

Murali Madhav said his Golden Retriever dog went missing in the afternoon on November 29. He has requested that he be informed and his pet returned if anyone finds the thief.
