BENGALURU: The Congress party in Karnataka took a dig at Mysuru-Kodadu MP Pratap Simha after the arrest of his brother Vikrama Simha by the Forest Department on charges of timber smuggling.
A post on the Karnataka Congress’s X handle said, “Vikram Simha, a big forest smuggler, was arrested, and he is the brother of Pratap Simha who gave a pass to the Parliament intruders. With Vikram’s arrest, even nature seems to have gotten justice. Pratap Simha, who said that he had done nothing wrong, then why was he hiding? Why have we arrested him now? or Are you training your brother to fill the place of poacher Veerappan?”

ಈ ಬಂಧನದ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಸರ್ಗದ ಶೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಂತಾಗಿದೆ.

Further, the post, “You believed that you could get away with the case of giving a pass to the Parliament attackers. But you cannot escape the the law in your brother’s business of timber smuggling. He attempted to smuggle timber and cut off crores worth of trees in the forest without any fear. Now, what kind of morality do you have? What are the other mafias you people are involved in?”
