The police have booked two activists for provocative speech.

UDUPI: The Karkala Town police have booked a suo motu case against two Hindu leaders for hate speech during the Akhand Bharat Sankalp programme.

The police have booked Bajrang Dal Mangaluru co-convener Puneeth Attavar and Karkala convener Sampath for making provocative remarks during the event.

At the Akhand Bharat Sankalp programme, organised by the Karkala unit of the Bajrang Dal, Puneeth Attavar said in his speech that the hands of Bearys which slaughter cows should be dismembered from the body.

Taking note of the provocative statement, the Karkala Town police registered a suo motu case against Puneeth and Sampath.
