BENGALURU: The Kannada film industry has chosen to remain neutral on the September 11 bandh call given by federations of private transporters. Kannada Film Chamber of Commerce president Ba Ma Harish spelt out the industry’s stand on extending support for the Bengaluru bandh.

Noting that private transporters have called for a Bengaluru Bandh against the government, he said all activities related to Sandalwood will continue as usual and there will be film screenings and shootings as on other days.

“If it is beneficial to the public, we should support it. But if there is any inconvenience to citizens, it is better to be neutral. The support of the film industry is always in favour of the public”, he said.
