CHIKKABALLAPUR: A 32-year-old man was killed after his car crashed into a stone slab of a temple near Machanahalli lake in Gudibande taluk on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as G S Bharat who was working as a journalist with a Kannada publication in Bengaluru.
Despite the airbag being deployed, Bharat lost his life as the stone slab had pierced through the car windshield. It is believed that the car was speeding at the time of the accident.
Bharat, who hailed from Gudibande, was a resident of Bengaluru. He was travelling from Gudibande to Bagepalli to make preparations for his daughter’s naming ceremony when the accident occurred. The Gudibande police visited the spot and registered a case.
