BENGALURU: Renowned businesswoman and the executive chairperson of Biocon, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw’s husband John Shaw passed away on Monday.
Shaw was suffering from colon cancer and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in the city. He died after failing to respond to treatment. His cremation was held at Wilson Garden Crematorium on Monday evening.
According to the Biocon official website, John Shaw had been a member of the Board of Directors since 1999 and has also served as a foreign promoter and on the advisory boards of various Biocon Group companies. Shaw had an honorary doctorate from the University of Glasgow.
