NEW DELHI: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Monday kickstarted its week-long observance of Anti-Ragging Week which will continue till August 18.
JNU kickstarted its week-long observance of Anti-Ragging Week (12-18 August 2024) with an inaugural programme on Anti-Ragging Day (12 August).
On this occasion, the School of Language Literature and Cultural Studies, Dean Shobha Sivasankaran shared the importance of celebrating this week with all the students, faculty and staff and described about the anti-ragging.
Anti-Ragging Committee members played videos from the UGC website.A skit directed by Roshan Amar Ujala and performed by the JNU Drama Club was enjoyed and appreciated for the performance of its student actors, but also due to its strong message of anti-ragging.
The University will have its next program on Wednesday, August 14 with a talk of two speakers and NSS JNU is also observing the same among the student community.
As per the directions of the Government, Anti-Ragging Day is being observed on August 12 followed by Anti-Ragging Week from August 12 to August 18, in educational institutes across the nation. (ANI)
