VIJAYAPURA: Kalyana Rajya Pragati Party president Janardhan Redday has claimed that it was he who was responsible for the first BJP government in the south and for making B S Yeddiyurappa as Chief Minister.

Speaking at a public welfare programme held at Nagathana village on Sunday night, Janardhan Reddy said, “I entered politics through the Ram Janmabhoomi Rath Yatra led by then BJP president L K Advani. I had organised 540 meetings in 18 days during the 1999 elections for Sushma Swaraj, as she stood for election against Sonia Gandhi from Bellary seat. Starting from gram panchayat elections to taluk and zilla panchayat elections, I am the reason why the 9-10 MLAs came to power in Bellary district”.

Janardhan Reddy says he was responsible for the first BJP govt in the south, for making BSY as CM

“For the first time in South India, the BJP government came to power. I am proud to have made Yediyurappa the Chief Minister with the blessings of the people”, he added.

Speaking at his party candidate Pampapati’s campaign meeting in Hanagal town of Haveri district, Reddy said, “Those who were close to me and were the most trusted were the ones who trampled me. Some senior politicians had said that stepping over others is the way to success in politics. I entered politics at a very young age and many people tried to keep me away for 12 years. Even now, they are trying many things to  keep me away from Ballari. People who caused trouble for me are consuming 20 tablets daily, but I am sleeping peacefully without taking any tablets.”
