CHIKKAMAGALUR: The Income Tax Department raided the house and other properties of KPCC Kisan cell leader Akmal on Monday morning.
The Income Tax officials arrived in eight cars and first conducted a raid at his house at Sharif Galli in the city and later at the coffee curing factory. They checked documents at both places.
A large number of police personnel were deployed in front of Akmal’s residence to prevent any untoward incident.
