HUBBALLI: A four-day Test match between India A and New Zealand A got off to a start today at the KSCA grounds here.

New Zealand captain Tom Bruce, who won the toss, chose to field and put India A to bat. At lunch, India A had scored 57 in 17 overs, losing one wicket.

India A captain Priyank Panchal and Abhimanyu Eshwaran opened the innings for the side and Eswharan got out on 22. Panchal was on 18.

The match was scheduled to start on Thursday, but was put off due to the presence of dew on the pitch. On Friday too, the match, which was to start at 9.30 am, was delayed by an hour.

Shardul Thakur of Maharashtra has replaced Prasidh Krishna of Karnataka in the playing XI.
