BENGALURU: In a swift midnight operation in various parts of Bengaluru, the city police have arrested several foreign nationals who were involved in immoral activities.
The Central Division police conducted raids at MG Road and Brigade Road and arrested African nationals who were involved in illegal activities. Many people have been apprehended on suspicion of being involved in immoral activities, including prostitution and drug rackets.
The foreign nationals, who were standing on MG Road and Brigade Road to attract customers, were chased and beaten up in cinematic style and detained by the police. A total of 55 foreign citizens have been arrested. Among them, more than 25 are women. After the arrest, medical and narcotic tests were conducted on them.
The women foreigners created high drama while being detained by the police. Some of them, who were drunk, created a ruckus, shouting at the police and trying to interrupt the filming of the operation. A few others tried to run away as the police approached them and some women escaped. The police were exhausted until they could convince the women and took them into custody.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of Central Division Deputy Commissioner of Police Srinivasa Gowda and 60 police personnel participated. One DCP, two ACPs, 6 inspectors, 10 PSIs, 20 female staff, and 20 male staff were deployed in theĀ operation.
