BENGALURU: Hours after IPS officer D Roopa levelled a series of charges against IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri on a social media platform, the latter issued a media statement on Sunday hitting back at Roopa and making her stand clear on the issue.

In the press release, Rohini Sindhuri stated, “Mental illness is a huge problem, it needs to be addressed by medication and counselling. When it affects people in responsible positions, it becomes all the more dangerous. Roopa IPS has been driving false, personal vilification campaigns against me which is her standard modus operandi. She has done it in every place she has worked, including the current one, which is an ex-cadre post”.

“She has always craved media attention and her social media profile is proof of her work. She has always targeted one person or the other and that seems to be her favourite past time, than focus on any substantial work. I will take legal and other actions with the appropriate authorities for her actions amounting to misconduct and criminal offences under various sections of Indian Penal Code,” Rohini Sindhuri noted.

“The photos are screenshots and picked from social media posts/WhatsApp staus which are falsely being used to scandalise me. She can share the names of people she is alleging I have sent these pics and the same can be verified”, she insisted.
