BENGALURU: Income Tax officials have carried out raids at popular biryani joint Meghana Foods in the early hours today on the suspicion of tax evasion.
I-T officials are conducting raids at multiple offices simultaneously, including Koramangala, Indiranagar, Jayanagar, and other places and checking documents.
The raids were carried out after huge discrepancy was found in the income tax statements of Meghana Foods that runs a hotel and restaurant business.
A team of IT officers from the Karnataka and Goa division raided more than 10 places in the city simultaneously and checked the records.
