UDUPI: “I have nothing to do with Chaitra Kundapur’s cheating case. I am ready for any inquiry in this regard”, former minister and MLA Sunil Kumar has said over his name being mentioned in Chaitra’s audio clip.

He further said, “No one should cheat anyone in the name of the BJP. I do not know about anyone who has already been arrested by CCB officials. I don’t even interact with anyone on Facebook. I never even met them on any auspicious occasion even by chance”.

“It is an illusion that you can get a ticket under the influence of money in the BJP. If this is so, I would not have been able to win four times. The authorities concerned should take stern action against such people, who are misusing the names of politicians for money”, Sunil Kumar said.

The MLA demanded that the police department take this incident to its logical end. “Who is behind the incident, who is involved should be revealed completely. Collecting money by using the name of a politician or the name of a party does not bring glory to anyone. This incident should be the last, and the police department should take stern action against them. I have nothing to do with this case, and I am ready for any sort of inquiry regarding this”, the MLA stressed.

The MLA’s clarification comes amid an audio clip in which the accused Chaitra Kundapur and Prasad Byndoor took his name in conversations about deals.
