BENGALURU: A home-alone woman was murdered and her gold jewellery stolen at her house at Hosaguddahalli in Byatarayanapura. The deceased was identified as Venkatalakshmamma (70).
The elderly woman living alone in the house. On Saturday evening, she was hit on the head and the accused have broken open the cupboard, and robbed gold jewellery in the house. The woman died on the spot struggling in a pool of blood.
Venkatalakshmamma had sustained injuries on the head and neck region. The Byatarayanapura police visited the spot and registered a case. They are looking for accused by checking CCTV footage.
Venkatalakshmamma had four houses and two other houses were empty. A young man had taken another house on rent and stored sound systems. He was using the house like a godown. The same young man used to bring tablets once a month along with rent to the elderly woman.
In fact, it was he who saw the woman in a pool of blood and informed the locals. The police registered a case based on complaint given by young man.
