History-sheeter stabbed to death by his friend in a drunken state

MYSURU: A history-sheeter was stabbed to death by his friend with a dagger in a drunken state over a trivial reason on Chamaraja Double Road on Sunday. The incident occurred in KR police limits.

The deceased has been identified Srigandha (26), a resident of Kakaravadi in Mysuru and the accused is Ravi, a resident of Nala street in Mysuru. It is said to be that Srigandha was involved in some criminal activities.

Srigandha, a history-sheeter, was stabbed by his friend over a trivial reason.

Sringandha is an autorickshaw and he and Ravi are friends for the last 10 years. Recently, Ravi had quarrelled with another friend. On March 19, Srigandha went to strike a compromise between the two. Later on, Ravi Srigandha were together till 11 pm. Then, they got into a fight and Ravi stabbed Srigandha in chest with a dagger, leading to his death on the spot.

The accused Ravi is now absconding and police are on the lookout for him. Police had earlier warned Srigandha not to get into any disputes or criminal activities.
