History-sheeter hacked to death in full public view in Mysuru

MYSURU: A history-sheeter, who had been arrested in the Hunsur double murder case, was brutally hacked to death in Mysuru on Thursday.

Chandrashekar aka Chandu, a resident of Vontikoppal, was attacked in full public view with swords and machetes. It is suspected that his killing was an act of revenge for the murder of Paduvarahalli Devu.

Chandrashekar was known to be close to former rowdy and former corporator Avva Madesha. He was recently acquitted in the Hunsur double murder case and released from jail.

A tense atmosphere prevails in Vontikoppal area and police are at the spot.
