BENGALURU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Nalin Kumar Kateel has warned the Congress against violence after scuffles between BJP and Congress workers in some constituencies after the election.

In a statement, Kateel claimed that the Congress has implemented ‘Himasa (violence) Guarantee Scheme’ in various parts of the state soon after the party won the majority in the Assembly election. “There is an increase in attacks on BJP workers in various parts of the state, including Hoskote. One activist was killed and two others were severely injured after being assaulting in clashes. This is condemnable”, he said.

Kateel said Congress leaders should not encourage such violence. Anti-national activities have increased in various parts of the state and should be curbed. Hoisting the Pakistani flag is an anti-national activity and such activities cannot be tolerated for any reason. Congress leaders should keep their internal differences aside”, Kateel said.

He also said the Congress should fulfill the promises it has announced in the manifesto and demanded that the police should arrest those who provoke violence and support anti-national activities.
