High ridership on Dec 31 and Jan 1 has Metro cash registers ringing

BENGALURU: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has recorded increased ridership and consequently, increased revenue on December 31 and January 1. Namma Metro had extended its services till 2 am on January 1.

On December 31, 6,29,902 people took the Metro, generating about Rs 1.5 crore in revenue, while on January 1, there were 5.56,014 passengers, generating about Rs 1.45 crore in revenue.
