HUBBALLI: The son of a Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Council (HDMC) BJP corporator has been accused of carrying out a murderous assault on a youth over a trivial isue at Siddaramanagar here on Tuesday evening.
Ward 42 corporator Mahadev Naragund’s son Sridhar Naragund, his associates Chidu and Manjunath Mulgund brutally attacked Akshay Vaddar and Umesh over a parking issue. Akshay was attacked with bricks and sustained injuries in the head. The trio also allegedly tried to run over a car on Akshay and Umesh.
Akshay has been admitted to the KIMS Hospital. Assistant Police Commissioner Shivaprakash Nayak visited the hospital and spoke to the injured. A case has been registered at the Keshwapur police station.
